Canadian Birds, Collyeayn O. Masting, Illustrated by Jan Sovak, Nature Canada Series, Grasshopper Books Publishing, Kamloops, British Columbia, 1995.

This is a lovely book suitable for children with beautiful illustrations, poems, and information about some of Canada’s most common birds.

That book may be hard to locate, but I can recommend
this one, although it is adult-oriented and does not include poems.  However, it has detailed information and interesting facts.
