I like to ramble in our traveling as well as in words, but maybe “ambling” is a better description. From the beginning, my fast pace has been Skus’ slow pace. He learned to walk more slowly. We were sometimes teased for walking around town holding hands, but it was the easiest way to adapt his pace to mine and besides it feels good. Now he has trouble keeping down with me–no way I can keep up with him! And at 80 he’s walking more cautiously himself. Ambling, or rambling, what’s important is that we go on together.
