Working on a Book Cover

Working on a Book Cover

Design # 1: This one suggests the range of topics in my book, and letter-writers as explorers. I like it.

Progress! Time to design a book cover! That’s a job for a professional editor, and she has suggested two designs.

Design #2: More dramatic–only problem is that the letters in my book, Panama and Beyond, all write from steamships, not sailing craft.

We’re closing in on a steamship photo, one that doesn’t cost more than I’ll ever make on the book! One can purchase photos of the necessary clarity and size with the right to use on a blog, or in a book–but when you need one for a book cover, the price triples–or more.

But we’re on the way to publication even though we can’t put a date on it yet.

Been Here? Done That? Tell Me About It!
